Aims & Scope

Qur'an, Culture and Civilization is an academic, peer-reviewed journal established in 2018 to explore the Qur’anic foundations of Islamic culture and civilization through an interdisciplinary lens. The journal publishes original research that examines the Qur’an’s role in shaping cultural systems, historical developments, civilizational patterns, and intellectual traditions across the Islamic world.

The journal aims to:

  • Advance scholarly knowledge of the Qur’an’s cultural and civilizational teachings.

  • Promote interdisciplinary studies connecting Qur’anic research with history, sociology, anthropology, culture, and religious studies.

  • Provide a scientific platform for critical analysis, comparative studies, and theoretical innovation in Qur’anic civilization.

  • Encourage collaboration between scholars of Qur’anic studies and researchers in Islamic history, culture, and civilization.

  • Contribute to contemporary debates on cultural change, social development, and civilizational renewal informed by Qur’anic perspectives.

The journal encourages submissions that use interdisciplinary, comparative, historical, hermeneutical, analytical, sociological, and cultural methodologies.
