Abstract
Surah Al-Ahzab is one of the civil surahs of the Quran in which several topics are discussed. Among them is the recollection of scenes from one of the important battles between Muslims and polytheists, namely the Battle of Al-Ahzab or the Battle of the Trench. This study conducts a psychological analysis of verses 9 to 26 of Surah Al-Ahzab, focusing on the Battle of the Trench, to identify psychological components of crisis management and Quranic strategies for reducing anxiety and enhancing resilience. Employing thematic analysis, key concepts such as anxiety, fear, reliance on God (tawakkul), patience, and collective cohesion were extracted. The findings reveal that these verses provide a comprehensive framework for managing psychological crises by fostering faith, recalling divine support, and promoting social solidarity. These strategies can be applied in designing religious-psychological interventions for crisis situations. The results underscore the role of religious beliefs in alleviating psychological stress and bolstering mental resilience, suggesting that these teachings can serve as a foundation for educational and therapeutic programs. This study emphasizes the necessity of integrating religious psychology with behavioral sciences to achieve a deeper understanding of Quranic verses.
