Abstract
The present age, which is the age of rapid social, intellectual and cultural change, has faced human beings with many challenges and pressures that effectively deal with them requires the acquisition of various psychological and social skills. According to the World Health Organization, one of the most important and basic of these skills is the skill of critical thinking.
According to the American Philosophers Association, critical thinking consists of two main components: tendencies and cognitive skills, each of which has its own components. In this article, first, critical thinking and its components are defined and the components that make up the component of tendencies, or in other words, the characteristics of critical thinkers are explained, and then a number of characteristics that are mentioned for these people in the Qur'an are discussed. The present research has been done by qualitative content analysis method with complete recitation of Quranic verses.
The findings of this study show that some characteristics such as interest and desire to achieve the truth, effort and indefatigability, personality stability, courage and independence in thinking, having the spirit of righteousness, preferring the right word or opinion or thinking about everything, flexibility And impartiality, unity and harmony of personality, constant deep thinking and careful attention to the signs, purposefulness and avoidance of irrelevant issues and "tavassom" (punctiliousness and shrewdness) are common features between psychology and the Qur'an and features such as faith and piety, expanse of thorax, fear of god, Perseverance, perseverance and stability in belief are among the characteristics of the Qur'an.
In a comparative study of the concepts of this subject in the Qur'an and psychology, it was found that the main difference between the two is in their God-centered and human-centered. To find them, they must be taken out of the human-centered state and exalted on the basis of God-centered principles, and accordingly, benefit from such teachings.
